Carrie & Hubby on Oprah

It’s not always easy for Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher to see each other with their busy schedules, but they’re going to let everyone know how they make marriage work. They’ll be on the season premiere of “Oprah’s Next Chapter” this Sunday on the OWN network. Oprah interviewed the couple at their cabin retreat in Nashville. They also took Oprah to their plot of land where they plan to build their dream home.

iPod Attachment

A man has created a magnetic iPod attachment within his own body. Dave Hurban, a 21-year-old professional body piercer from New Jersey, implanted four metal studs into his wrist and used them to secure his iPod to his body magnetically. “I just invented the strapless watch,” Hurban said, showing off his iPod which was set to display the clock graphic. Hurban says he mapped out the four corners of his iPod on his arm, and then put four titanium studs into his skin. Once that had healed he placed his iPod over it, letting it sit there magnetically. He has posted a video of how to do it on YouTube. No word on what he plans to do if he ends up replacing his current iPod with a different-sized one.

Joe Nichols on GAC

Joe Nichols says his wife Heather should have left him long ago. He says in a new episode of GAC’s “Backstory” that he’s done enough “that’s certainly warranted four or five divorces.” Nichols is sober now and the couple recently welcomed their first daughter, Dylan River Nichols. He has a 13-year-old daughter from another relationship as well. Nichols also talks about the abusive father who helped send him down the road to alcoholism and the five miscarriages his wife suffered before Dylan’s birth. Check GAC for air times.

Simming Lexus

Police in California arrested an alleged drunk driver who drove through a cinder block wall and landed his Lexus in a backyard swimming pool. The California Highway Patrol said Modesto Cabral, 40, of La Puente, was allegedly drunk around 5:25 a.m. Sunday when he crashed through the wall and plunged his car into a family’s pool. Police said Cabral, who climbed out the window of the car, suffered only minor injuries.

Kenny in New Orleans

Kenny Chesney took the stage Saturday night at the House of Blues in New Orleans to wrap up the 3rd Annual Amazing Race charity event. The race is a signature event of the Brees Dream Foundation, which was founded by New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and wife Britney. This year, the event partnered with the Just Keep Livin Foundation, founded by Matthew McConaughey and fiancée Camila Alves. A one of kind auction item allowing the highest bidder to sing on stage with Kenny raised $10,000. The night ended with Drew Brees and Matthew McConaughey uniting with Kenny on stage for an encore performance of his football anthem, “Boys of Fall.”

First Date

Let’s face it: first dates are awkward enough without the whole world watching. Unfortunately for one budding couple, the whole world was watching their first shot at love after they landed on the Jumbo-tron at an Arizona Diamondbacks game. Oh, the announcers had a field day with this one, as they provided their own play-by-play commentary as the couple nervously laughed while on camera. What’s even worse? The announcers decided to poll the game crowd to see if the two should go on a second date. Luckily for the guy, his gal said, “yes.” But you have to wonder: with a sign in his lap reading “first date” with hearts on it—did he really think this was going to go any differently?
