Dierks Bent­ley to Release Custom-Designed Gui­tar
Dierks Bent­ley is get­ting a brand new gui­tar – and you’ll be able to get one just like it. Mar­tin Gui­tars will release the HD Dierks Bent­ley Cus­tom Sig­na­ture Edi­tion this month. Dierks had a hand in design­ing the instru­ment and each gui­tar will fea­ture a spe­cial sticker with Dierks’ sig­na­ture on it.
“It’s kind of based on the song ‘Home,’ so there’s the her­ring bone right on the out­side that’s red, white and blue,” Dierks said. “But it’s a lit­tle of Buck Owens’ influ­ence there as well, because I’m a huge Buck fan. There’s a phoenix on there that says where I’m from and just the specs on the gui­tar, are kinda cus­tom to how I like them.
Miranda Lam­bert on Voice Rest, Can­cels Week­end Concerts

Miranda Lam­bert is on voice rest this week­end and has can­celed Friday’s (July 6) appear­ance at a fes­ti­val in Varys­burg, N.Y., and a Sat­ur­day con­cert in Scran­ton, Pa. Not­ing the singer was placed on voice rest because of “overex­tend­ing her voice,” a spokesper­son added, “She’s under the care of her doc­tor, and she hopes to return to the road next week­end.” Orga­niz­ers for the Jam in the Val­ley music fes­ti­val added Gretchen Wil­son and Sawyer Brown to the lineup fol­low­ing Lambert’s can­cel­la­tion. Saturday’s con­cert at the Toy­ota Pavil­ion at Mon­tage Moun­tain in Scran­ton is being resched­uled. Jen­nifer Net­tles May Win First ‘Duets’
Jen­nifer Net­tles is rul­ing on the inau­gural sea­son of ABC’s singing con­test “Duets.” The show is down to four of the orig­i­nal eight con­tes­tants, and Jen­nifer Net­tles of Sug­ar­land is the only one of the four men­tors with both con­tes­tants still in the game. On the show Thurs­day, mentor/pop singer Robin Thicke lost his only remain­ing con­tes­tant, Olivia Chisolm. But both of Jennifer’s con­tes­tants did well. John Glos­son sang “Geor­gia on My Mind” with Jen­nifer. Jennifer’s other con­tes­tant, J. Rome, blew the judges away with “God Bless the Child.”
