Glo­ri­ana To Release Sopho­more Album On July 31st
Glo­ri­ana will release their sopho­more full-length album, “A Thou­sand Miles Left Behind,” on July 31st. The band teamed up with some of coun­try music’s most suc­cess­ful song­writ­ers to pro­duce 11 tracks that rep­re­sent how the trio has grown in the past two years. “We’ve grown up a lot as a band and have really honed in on our skills and found our sound,” said Mike Gossin. The album’s first sin­gle is “(Kissed You) Good Night.”

Mar­tina McBride Joins E!’s ‘Open­ing Act’
Mar­tina McBride has joined E!’s new real­ity show, “Open­ing Act,” as part of the Artist Devel­op­ment Team. The show will giv­ing aspir­ing per­form­ers the chance to open for acts such as Brad Pais­ley, Jason Aldean, Nicki Minaj, Rod Stew­art, LMFAO, Jason Mraz and Gym Class Heroes, among oth­ers. The Artist Devel­op­ment Team also includes Pete Wentz, Jason Derulo, Rock Mafia pro­ducer Antonino Art­mato and vocal coach Nick Cooper. The team will scour the inter­net for tal­ent then help them pre­pare for open­ing for an estab­lished act. Mar­tina will be shar­ing vocal and per­for­mance tips as well as offer­ing advice on some of the tri­als that come with being a per­for­mance artist. “Open­ing Act” will pre­miere on July 9th.

Kenny Ches­ney Looka­like to Receive Refund
He may not have been able to stick around long enough to see Kenny Ches­ney per­form dur­ing the singer’s Nashville tour stop over the week­end, but Nathan Blanken­ship is putting an unfor­tu­nate sit­u­a­tion behind him with some ami­ca­ble part­ing gifts. The fan, who bears a strong resem­blance to Ches­ney, was escorted out of the show by LP Field secu­rity for being a dis­tur­bance in the crowd. Accord­ing to a state­ment Blanken­ship made fol­low­ing the inci­dent, Sony Music Nashville and con­cert pro­mot­ers have offered the infa­mous looka­like a full refund on his $200 floor ticket, as well as “sev­eral CDs,” which Blanken­ship says he appreciates.
