Brantley Gilbert Builds Dream Home
Brantley Gilbert has enjoyed a lot of success recently as both an artist and a songwriter and he’s using that success to help make one of his dreams come true. He purchased an 11.68 plot of land in his hometown of Maysville, Georgia and next month, he’ll move into a house he’s having built on the property.
The custom-built home “should be finished first week in July,” Brantley said. “I’m stoked about it, I can’t wait. I hadn’t picked out a fence yet or a gate, which I’m sure I’m gonna have to do really soon. None of the landscaping has even been talked about, so I may just be moving into a dirt spot at first but we’re gonna get it figured out. But I’m excited about it.”
Man Gambled $1.5 Million After ATM Error
A Detroit man is facing 15 months in prison after he was able to withdraw unlimited ATM cash from his Bank of America account that only held a few dollars. Ronald Page, 55, took advantage of a bank mistake that placed his account into a “pay all’ status that allowed him to withdraw unlimited overdrafts, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Detroit said. From August 1st to 18th 2009, Page hit the ATMs, mostly at casinos and cashiers –for $1,543,104. After Page gambled the entire $1.5 million away Bank of America froze his account and federal authorities arrested him. Page was convicted of stealing bank funds and prosecutors are recommending a 15-month sentence because the bank was partly to blame for the bank error.
