‘The Voice’ Coaches Become Muppets on ‘Sesame Street’
If you’ve ever wondered what coaches of “The Voice” would look like in the eyes of the late Jim Henson, now you know. For its upcoming 43rd season, “Sesame Street” has made muppets out of Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and show host Carson Daly. While we’re not entirely sure why Maroon 5’s Adam Levine didn’t make the cut, we are highly entertained by the fun and informative preview of the preschooler-friendly skit
Whether or not the coaches were involved, or knew that this was coming, they would likely appreciate it. The inhabitants of the now-famous swivel chairs have made a habit out of poking fun at themselves.
Season 3 of “The Voice” premieres Sept. 10 at 8:00 PM ET on NBC, while the 40-year elder “Sesame Street” is back Sept. 24 on PBS
Randy Travis Arrested for Suspicion of DWI
Randy Travis has had another run-in with the law. The Associated Press reports that the country icon has been charged with driving while intoxicated, as well as retaliation, after crashing his car Tuesday night (Aug. 7). The latter charge, according to TMZ, allegedly came after the singer verbally threatened the arresting officer. This is the second time behind bars this year for the Texas resident, who was arrested Feb. 6 for public intoxication in Sanger, Texas, after police found him parked outside a church with an open bottle of wine.
The most recent incident occurred in North Texas, near Randy’s home of Tioga, around midnight. Luckily, no one was seriously injured in the single-car crash, though the singer did have several cuts and bruises on his face, as seen in his mugshot. He is currently jailed in Sherman waiting to post bond, which is $1,500 for the misdemeanor DWI charge and $20,000 for the felony retaliation charge.Randy was found lying naked in the road after the crash
Taylor Swift Web Chat Set for Aug. 13: What Will She Reveal?
Taylor Swift has announced that she will host a live web chat on Monday, August 13 at 7:00 PM ET. The superstar entertainer will talk directly to fans from around the world live online, answering questions in real time. But the big question remains: will Taylor reveal plans for her hotly-anticipated fourth album?
Naturally, when it comes to the young global icon, personal relationships — as in “is-she-or-isn’t-she-dating [fill in the blank]” — are a hot topic, but it’s likely Taylor will limit herself to addressing that subject in the new songs on the upcoming album, news of which she’s been teasing fans with via Twitter for the past few months.
