Keith Urban may be receiv­ing an Oscar in his future! Accord­ing to Dead­line, his song “For You,” writ­ten for the film Act of Valor, has been sub­mit­ted to be con­sid­ered for the Orig­i­nal Song cat­e­gory. Keith co-wrote the song with Monty Pow­ell, and he admits it was inspired by the brav­ery of one spe­cial soldier.

Keith received the Nashville Symphony’s Har­mony Award on Sat­ur­day in Music City, for his com­mu­nity ser­vice and ded­i­ca­tion to the city’s cul­ture. He admit­ted it would be “a huge honor” to receive an Oscar nom­i­na­tion. Keith added, “We’ve been work­ing towards that, so it would be a won­der­ful thing if we were to get nom­i­nated.” The nom­i­nees for the 85th Annual Acad­emy Awards will be revealed Jan­u­ary 10th.
