Kacey Mus­graves has gar­nered atten­tion from Rolling Stone, as her debut sin­gle, “Merry Go ‘Round,” has been named one of the magazine’s 50 Best Songs of 2012. The singer wrote the song with Nashville hit writ­ers, Josh Osborne and Shane McAnally, and Kacey felt like it was one a smooth writ­ing session.

Rolling Stone’s list for 50 Best Songs of 2012 also included Tay­lor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Get­ting Back Together,” and Dwight Yoakam’s “Heart Like Mine.” Kacey will be hit­ting the road next year with Kenny Chesney’s No Shoes Nation Tour next year. She will also join Lit­tle Big Town’s Tor­nado Tour, which kicks off on Jan­u­ary 31st, in Mur­ray, Kentucky.
