Taylor Swift’s latest album, Red, is nearing the 3 million mark in sales, with over 200,000 copies sold per week over the holidays – according to Nielsen SoundScan. Unlike her previous project, Speak Now, Taylor collaborated with co-writers for a few tracks on Red. She admits that teaming up with songwriters helped her find direction for certain lyrics.

According to Billboard, Red was the best-selling country album of 2012, and the second best-seller overall– behind Adele’s 21. Taylor’s latest album should be certified triple-Platinum in no time, with 2.9 million already sold.
