Sheryl Crow is tap­ping into her south­ern roots, as she revealed at the CMT Artists of the Year tap­ing she is work­ing on her first-ever coun­try record! Her first sin­gle from the project will be released in March, and she tells Coun­try Weekly she has been work­ing on the album at home in her barn. Sheryl is hop­ing radio will embrace her, as she added, “My record is prob­a­bly more coun­try than a lot of coun­try that is get­ting played, so I hope I get played.” Catch Sheryl on CMT’s Artists of the Year this Sat­ur­day (12/8), at 10PM East­ern on CMT.
