Tay­lor Swift’s mas­sive hit, “We Are Never Ever Get­ting Back Together,” just gar­nered a Grammy nom­i­na­tion for Record of the Year, and was also named one of Time Magazine’s Top 10 Songs of the Year. It was the first sin­gle Tay­lor released off of her album Red, and she admits she was going through intense emo­tions when writ­ing the song.

Accord­ing to Bill­board, “We Are Never Ever Get­ting Back Together” sets an all-time record for the most weeks at #1 by a solo female — sur­pass­ing Con­nie Smith’s eight weeks with “Once a Day” in 1964. Tay­lor also received two addi­tional Grammy nom­i­na­tions in the Best Coun­try Duo/Group Per­for­mance and Best Song Writ­ten For Visual Media cate­ogy, with The Civil Wars for “Safe and Sound.”
