Jake Owen popped the ques­tion to girl­friend Lacey Buchanan while on stage Sat­ur­day night in his home­town of Vero Beach, Florida. He was per­form­ing at his alma mater, Vero Beach High, when he brought Lacey to the stage and pro­posed to her spon­ta­neously dur­ing a per­for­mance of his hit “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You.” Accord­ing to Peo­ple, Jake ref­er­enced the words in the song, telling Lacey, “I just said I can’t buy you a big dia­mond ring or a big house on the hill, but I promise I’ll love you for­ever and ever and ever.” Later, Jake tweeted, “I’m a happy man.
