A 25-year-old Indiana man was charged with two counts of theft after police said he ordered $12,000 worth of merchandise from businesses while posing to singer Brantley Gilbert. The Warsaw Police Department said during the course of the three-month scheme Thomas Michael Barth allegedly emailed and texted Robert’s Signs in Warsaw posing as Gilbert and ordered $8,000 worth of personalized products and clothing. Police said Michael also used the same scheme to order a computer, along with musical and electronic equipment which had an estimated value of $4,000. Police said the real Brantley Gilbert and his managers have had numerous complaints about Michael in the past few months and ordered him to stop misrepresenting himself. Michael turned himself in April 26th and was jailed on two counts of felony theft.
