Army veteran Brendan Marrocco’s armored vehicle was bombed in Iraq in 2009. The solider lost all four of his limbs in the blast, becoming the first U.S. serviceman to survive a quadruple amputation. TV station WEHT reports that six weeks ago, doctors at Johns Hopkins Hospital performed a double-arm transplant on Marrocco. A fan tweeted the Brendan’s remarkable story to Shelton on Tuesday and Blake responded saying, “Wow.. Speechless. I will make this happen!!” Shelton then sent a message directly to Marrocco, saying, “Hey Brendan.… I can’t WAIT to shake the hand of an American Hero/Stud… You my brother.” To which the soldier then replied, “Holy mother of God!! I can’t wait. I’m a huge fan and really looking forward to it. Thank you.”
