Cas­sadee Pope won NBC’s “The Voice” last night dur­ing a third sea­son finale that included per­for­mances by Rihanna, Kelly Clark­son, Smokey Robin­son and Bruno Mars, among oth­ers. Pope, 23, even got to per­form with her idol Avril Lav­i­gne before the show’s ver­dict came down. Pope was coached by coun­try star Blake Shel­ton and slightly switched her rock style to pop and coun­try as the sea­son went on. The big pay­day and record­ing con­tract was the first prize awarded to a female on the pro­gram and the sec­ond win for coach Blake Shelton.
