When Tim McGraw met retired U.S. Marine Anthony Hodge at a recent “Broth­ers of the Sun” tour stop, he didn’t sign an auto­graph for the injured vet­eran. He handed Hodge and his wife, Laura, keys to a new mortgage-free home. McGraw launched the pro­gram “Home­Front” ear­lier this year in part­ner­ship with Chase, the Acad­emy of Coun­try Music’s Lift­ing Lives pro­gram and the non-profit Oper­a­tion Home­Front. McGraw plans to hand out a set of keys at every stop on his cur­rent tour with Kenny Ches­ney. Eigh­teen of 25 homes have been awarded so far nationwide.
