Blake Shel­ton has offended peo­ple with his com­ments before, but this time Shelton’s words have upset two of coun­try music’s leg­endary artists. The infa­mous com­ments were made on GAC’s Back­story: Blake Shel­ton when Blake knocked fans of old coun­try music who do not under­stand the pro­gres­sion of the genre’s music. Blake said, “Coun­try music has to evolve in order to sur­vive. Nobody wants to lis­ten to their grandpa’s music,” he then added, “And I don’t care how many of these old farts around Nashville going, ‘That ain’t coun­try!’ Well that’s because you don’t buy records any­more. The kids do!” Ray Price & Ray Stevens voiced their dis­plea­sure. Blake has apologized…sort of.
