The spirit of free enterprise is alive and well outside many New York City high schools. Cellphones are banned in city schools, so kids “park” their phones with valets. They pay a buck a day to entrepreneurs who keep the cellphones stashed in trucks near the schools. That can cost up to $180 a year. Kelice Charles says it’s hassle but worth it. She’s a freshman at Gramercy Arts High School in Manhattan.
