A judge handed down a novel sentence to a husband who shoved his wife in a domestic dispute. Florida judge John Hurley ordered Joseph Bray to treat his wife Sonja to a bouquet of flowers, a nice dinner at a seafood restaurant and a night at the bowling alley. He told Bray that the assault on his wife, after she complained he hadn’t wished her happy birthday, was “very, very minor.” He also ordered Bray to seek marriage counseling within a week.
