You’ve heard of dat­ing web­sites such as match.com and eharmony.com. Now there’s one where peo­ple can meet an inmate. The new web­site Meet-An-Inmate.com is pick­ing up steam. The goal is to help inmates find pen-pals or maybe even a future mate. The site says many pris­on­ers are “fun” and “lov­ing” like every­one else. They’ve just com­mit­ted a few crimes. It also offers the dis­claimer: “We (meet-an-inmate.com) accept no respon­si­bil­ity for the accu­racy of any con­tent found within these pages. The appro­pri­ate safe­guards should be used in com­mu­ni­cat­ing with any person(s) that you may meet through this ser­vice.” The web­site is free to browse but inmates have to pay to post a per­sonal ad.
