Drive-thru Bovine

Maybe she just wanted fries with that? Whatever her reason, an ambitious and brave dairy cow named “Darcy” broke free from her fenced-in field in northeastern Colorado last week presumably to check out other pastures—but not before stopping in at her local McDonald’s. Yep, “Darcy” trekked a half a mile to the local “Mickey D’s” and decided to stroll through the drive-thru line. Attendants at the window were baffled, and called police. Luckily Brush, Colorado is a small place, where everybody knows everybody–including ”Darcy’s” owner, young Zach Winn, who was taken out of a track meet to see about his beloved bovine friend. Zach says “Darcy” is a “sweet cow,” but “can be stubborn.” And if she’s bored, “will do anything to get attention.”
