Police in Florida said a drunken dri­ving sus­pect refused to take a sobri­ety test because he had seen them proven unre­li­able by the TV series “Myth­Busters.” The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office said Dus­tan Car­pen­ter, 35, was pulled over around 11 p.m. on Sep­tem­ber 12th for dri­ving with­out his head­lights on. He told the deputy, who noted the sus­pect smelled of alco­hol and was slur­ring his speech, that he had con­sumed one beer at Applebee’s before dri­ving. Car­pen­ter also told the deputy he’s “not tak­ing no sobri­ety test, I done seen it on the ‘Myth­Busters.’” Car­pen­ter, who also refused to take a breath test, was arrested on a charge of DUI.
