Police at Eastern Michigan University said a student reported being kicked by a professor when he fell asleep in class. EMU Police Chief Bob Heighes said the student fell asleep during a 3 p.m. class Monday and the student filed a police reported at 6:11 p.m. alleging the professor kicked him in the feet to wake him up. Heighes said the professor told officers he asked the student to wake up. The chief said the investigation has been closed due to the student deciding not to press charges after filing his report. Heighes said the student told police he wants to switch to a different class.
