T-shirt Creates Unfriendly Skies

It seems Qantas airlines is not a fan of The Princess Bride! A man on a Qantas flight from Australia to New Zealand was asked to remove his Inigo Montoya shirt! Montoya was a character played by Mandy Patinkin in the 1987 film and the tee was emblazoned with his famous line, “Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.” But other passengers apparently didn’t get the reference. Wynand Mullins was told by the Qantas crew that the shirt was making fellow travelers nervous. They asked him to remove it and the flight attendant went looking for a replacement shirt, but never came back. Mullins said he thought the reaction was “a bit over the top” and said he had a distinct feeling he was being watched for the rest of the flight.
