It’s an anniver­sary gift of a life­time. Dale Casto is get­ting a kid­ney from his wife on their 35th wed­ding anniver­sary. The pro­ce­dure is planned for May 14th, their anniver­sary date. Casto is a dis­abled police offi­cer. He learned he had kid­ney dis­ease in 2008. Kathy, his wife, found out she was an organ match for her hus­band in Feb­ru­ary. Casto says he’s not expect­ing any more presents from his wife for their anniver­sary – and she doesn’t have to give him any­thing for his birth­day or Christ­mas either.
